Friendly, Calm & Caring

Just had to write to you about my experience at the Emergency Room of New Island Hospital. From the initial contact at the sign-in desk, until the time I was discharged from the E.R. all the personnel were pleasant and upbeat. They create a friendly, calm and caring atmosphere. The staff made me feel confident that I would be treated properly and I began to relax. Each and every staff member from Dr. Trope, the nurses and Assistants were knowledgeable, professional, quick and efficient.

I arrived at 8 p.m. to a crowded E.R. and was being treated within the hour. The diagnosis & treatment were immediate and effective. I was given an antibiotic and fluids intravenously. The internal bleeding stopped within three hours and my temperature began to subside. The infection was being cured.

I was on my way home before 1 a.m. after an extremely scary situation was turned around by your very competent staff. When released, I was given a thorough description of my ailment, a prescription to continue the antibiotic, and was told to follow-up with my primary physician (all in writing).

This situation was handled so well, that I had to share it with you. I am feeling great today and doing well, thanks to the quality staff at New Island Hospital's Emergency Room.

Thank God for people like those who work at New Island Hospital.
